Thank you, everyone, for the incredibly successful St. Patrick"s Day Dinner Dance
organized by the St. John Social Committee. The evening was very well attended,
approximately 130 attendees. The food prepared by Rich Bergmann and Jim McCarthy
was delicious! Rich even made two kinds of homemade Irish soda bread and the most
wonderful Irish oatmeal, coconut cookies. Yummy!
The 50/50 raffle proved to be a success with sales of $870! The cocktails at the
bar served by Ed Breiling and Johanna McCormick were a big hit.
Congratulations to Judith Howser, Yvonne Finney and Judie Kolbmann for the
outstanding decorations. Imagine cloth tablecloths and napkins and gorgeous
flowers by Sarah Pink! The room was just that - simply elegant.
Many, many thanks to the group that assembled the hall, sold reservations, and
donated cash, silent auction items or solicited silent auction items.
And a big thank you to Judie Kolbmann for arranging for our energetic and pleasant
servers from our CCD program. Many thanks to the families who support them as well.
It was so wonderful to have the children involved and they did a fabulous job!
A complete accounting of the revenues from the silent auction and the total proceeds
from the evening will be forthcoming. You will also receive a list of the donors
to the event so that you can thank them when you visit the businesses.
